Newborn photography

It is advisable to book your session as early in your pregnancy as possible, the majority of our “Mums-to-be” tend to book shortly after their 12-week scan to guarantee their slot in our flexible diary. Newborn photography diary is hard to explain, you book in with your due date, and the session date only gets confirmed once baby has arrived.

The best time for our style is when your Newborn baby is under 14 days old, while they are still super sleepy and in the Newborn curl, however, we have photographed older up to 4 weeks but please note they are more aware, they also start to lose their Newborn curl so posing maybe limited.

This is a very important question, the simple answer is Yes but the photography industry is unregulated, which means anyone can pick up a camera and call themselves a photographer. We are both highly trained in the art of posing baby safely. Darren is one of the most highly qualified photographers throughout the country, holding an Associate with Newborn photography from the MPA (Master Photographers Association) and the SWPP (The Societies of photographers)

Waiting until after you baby has arrived is not advisable, as our diary tends to get booked up months in advance. You are welcome to contact us for availability, and if we can fit you in, we will be more than happy to capture your little one.

We have been photographing for over ten years and Newborn specialist for the past 7 yrs. We capture around 200 Newborns each year, our sessions are entirely baby-led, and photos are captured with safety in mind.

Yes, we always encourage family/sibling photos to be taken on the day of the shoot.

We have everything here for your little ones session, including various backdrops/props & accessories. However, we always encourage parents to fetch along something personal to capture with your little one.

Timing is something we find hard to answer, as every baby is different. Some are very settled, and the session goes without any hiccups, whilst others may be feeding more frequently, thus needing the session to last a little longer. Baring this in mind, we allow more than enough time to photograph each Newborn, so there is no need for clock watching.

Price is always at the forefront of any clients mind, but you have to remember the old saying, “You get what you pay for.” We are highly qualified and award-winning newborn photographers, and remember your photographer/assistant will be handling, posing, and soothing your baby. It’s not just about taking the pictures, making sure you are working with someone who knows how to handle & pose newborns safely, and will provide you with stunning images for you to treasure forever.

After your Newborn session, you will be invited back to our studio, preferable within the next seven days. This experience tends to be a little emotional, even though you watched us taking photos of your little one, seeing them for the first time can be quite overwhelming. It is on this day you chose which images you love.
